Gotta say Happy Father’s Day to my Daddy!! And of course to my Gramps! I miss them both tons and wish I was in Ohio to spend the day with them! Only a month and 2 days and I will be able to!! Woo Hoo..

On another note Wednesday I posted about my hubby turing the big 2-1!! So I thought I would share a few pictures from our night out, he refuses to let me put the ones of him passed out on here, but I think I will sneak them up soon! hehe

Oh he didn’t like this drink at all, it was a 4 horseman, but doubled because the lady thought we ordered 2 and just threw them together…yuck!

The night was crazy and ended later than I thought, but it was fun to go out with his friends and I took one of mine as well. I guess I dont have anything else fun to blog about tonight, maybe tomorrow…for now I’m off to change and wait for Army Wives to come on!

WOO HOO My husband is finally 21!! We didn’t end up going out at midnight, which I was kinda glad, but we are going out tonight. Anyways here is a funny picture of Ray back in the day… try not to laugh too hard!

Not really. As you may have guessed I’m not extremely fond of the Shreveport/Bossier City area. I find it quite boring, it’s even more boring being stuck in my house all day. Luckily my friend Tamzyn feels the same way! We decided to the go to the Bossier Mall for some shopping and lunch. We got there and were starving so we went to Chick Fil A, it was super busy, but it was worth it. Don’t mind the pictures I remembered them after I started eating haha After lunch we went to alot of stores and still left empty handed, oh well…

I also had the side salad with ff honey mustard that was really good, but the picture doesn’t look so nice so I won’t even both posting!I guess I’m posting backward today…as you can guess breakfast was a smoothie! I’m obsessed!!

Now I’m off for Day 2 off the 30 Day Shred, and to finish up some last minute homework before class tonight

We Need a New House

We really do. Ours is just gross and I do not want to live in it any longer. We live on base, and we happen to live in the very old housing and we have black moldin our bathroom…so we are going to talk to housing this week and either they are moving us to newer housing, or we will be looking for a house off base to rent. I refuse to keep living here. Even if they give me a different Capehart(where we are now) house I’ll be happier than living in this one. Anyways I slept until 10:30this morning, and still felt tired…no matter what lately nothing helps this sleepiness. I also woke up super hungry, I couldn’t decide between eggs or a smoothie, so I had both!

Strawberry Banana Smoothie…the cold drink was perfect for the ridculously hot morning!

I also had an omelet with 1 egg and 1 egg white with LC wedge and tomato…sooo good. Of course I like anything with tomato and cheese

After breakfast I worked on some homework and cleaned the kitchen, then I decided I better workout before Ray got off work and I forget all about it. I did the 30 Day Shred and it kicked my butt! JM knows how to work people out! After the workout I showered and had lunch, I just snacked on some cottage cheese with S&P and a red pepper with hummus. Nothing to get excited about.

Dinner was much better though! I made WW pasta with roasted tomato and eggplant, sauteed spinach and onion and feta cheese. It was fantastic!My husband also liked it alot so it will be made again! Had it with some garlic bread and I was so full!

Tomorrow should be a busy day, I’m hanging out with my friend Tamsin during the day, then we have class tomorrow night. Then my hubby turns 21 at midnightso we will be going out. Woo Hoo I’m so glad he will be legal

Comfort Foods

Sorry I have been gone forever again…I have had some things going on, I’ll just leave it at that

I havent really been taking pictures of my food, and I really wish I would have for lunch yesterday! I fried in nonstick spray some eggplant and then stuffed it in half a pita with hummus, laughing cow and tomato and it was soooo good! Seriously try it!

Dinner last night I decided I didn’t care about calories and was craving my favorite comfort food, mashed potatoes! OMG I could eat them every single day! My husband loves him some steak so I decided that would also be on the menu along with some salad.

Salad was butter lettuce, yellow pepper, tomato, black olives and feta…and I made my own salad dressing for the first time and it was very yummy! EVOO, Red wine vinegar oregano, salt, and a litle honey.

I didn’t eat all of that steak! haha It was pretty big, I ate arund half and gave some to my husband and some to the dogs I ate all the mashed potatoes…not apologies they were soooo good. Also I had sauteed some mushrooms and peppers in some I can’t believe its not butter spray and I ate all of that,very good. I also drank a ton of water with dinner! I know it wasn’t a low cal dinner, but it was a nice dinner to have with my husband and it sure tasted great! Tonight on the menu is vegetarian chili, honestly I don’t think I have ever eaten chili with no meat..so we shall see how I like it, or more how my husband likes it!

AND…because I’m feeling super homesick today….

Amp it up…

I just finished 25 minutes of Tae Bo Amped, and yeah the video is like 46 minutes but its too hot in the house right now to do another half of it! It had me sweating like crazy!!! First day I have gotten in a good exercise in over a week! Shame…Shame.. Here was my day in food

Breakfast was a delish strawberry-banana smoothie, perfect for a 95 degree day!

Lunch was a beef hot dog(hate all ya want it was yummy) with ketchup and mustard…along with my fave thing ever..watermelon!!! It wasnt as ripe as the last one but it was still good!

Snack was 4 melbas and some of that yum-o black olive hummus! Dinner was my fave today though, well other than the watermelon! I made 2 oz of rigatoni, 1/2 cup of Newman’s Own Sockarooni Spaghetti Sauce and 1 cup of kidney beans with 2 tsp of parmesan cheese. It was so good and reminded me alot of homemade chili! I also had the most boring salad ever…the dressing was blah also.

Now I’m off for movie time with the hubs, and bed so I can get up early and finish all my HW I have been putting off

New Faves

I had my first FTF weigh in, and what do you know…I gained 2 lbs! I saw it coming though, I didn’t eat very well at all last week! It’s a new week now though! I’m not gonna dwell on those 2 lbs, but just move my ass more to work them off!

The husband and I went to the commissary yesterday and picked up a few things to last until pay day on Friday. Now the commissary does try to get in some organic and stuff like that, and when I’m looking for certain things I can usually find most of it, however they usually only have 2 kinds of humms, Tribe classic or cracked red pepper. I enjoy them but sometime I wish they had a larger variety. Well yesterday they did, they now have the Athenos brand and lots of flavors! I just got the original and the black olive, mmm I love black olives!! Can’t wait to go back Friday and pick up some more flavors!!

Also on our trip I found a new love. Edy’s All Natural Fruit Bars. I love, love, love popsicles in the summer, so these are a much better option! Still quite a bit of sugar but only 50 calories and they are snack size which is the perfect size!

Well I’m off to go read in the sun once again! I have such a love/hate relationship with this Lousiana summer!!

It’s Been Awhile…

Yeah it’s been a few days, and I have no excuse for why I havent blogged. Yeah I’m stacked with the homework and such, but I still could have written Oh well…too late now! Nothing too interesting has happened anyways.

I started my Medical Terminology course on base Tuesday with my girls Raquel and Tamsin! They make being in the class much better, its 3 hours long…ugh but the teacher is a sweet, crazy old lady…gotta love her. Had class again on Thursday, then lst night the girls and I plus our husbands and Raquel’s little boy went to watch The Hangover, that shit is hilarious!! Like seriously I’m pretty sure we laughed almost the whole entire movie, and have no fear Raquel’s son is like 2 so he didn’t hear or understand the sick humor he was busy smashin on some popcorn

Today I started a job at a pizza place, just gonna say right now…hate it!! No denying it, I feel like a 16 year old, wait maybe because I work with all 16 year olds and get min. wage…ugh why can’t I find another job down here. it is HOT down here today, it’s my second summer in the south and i don’t know if I’ll ever be used to this Louisana heat…if it’s gonna be this hot I atleast want a beach! Oh well I’m bout to slather on the SPF and go outside to read and watch the dogs run around like crazies!!!

The last couple days have just been blah…I haven’t really felt like doing much of anything, then today I woke up with lots of energy! I wasn’t hungry right away though so I did some reading, then I got the weirdest craving for apples and cheddar! Not something i would normally ever crave, but I went with it and ended up with an apple and cheddar omelet and a slice of toast. Sorry the picture doesnt look as yummy as it was, I left it on that side a litle long…oops!

Overcooked but still good!

I did some cleaning around the house and with 2 dogs, it really needed it! I had half a luna bar for a snack, the strawberry crumble flavor, it was alright nothing to get excited about…not like the chocolate peppermint stick one!! Lunch was super simple and perfect for this humid summer day! Half of a spinach herb wrap with hummus LC Swiss and cucumber…and then salad with mixed lettuce, kidney beans, carrot, cucumber and corn with some Newmans Own Low Fat Sesame Ginger…really good and super filling!

So refreshing!

I started a challenge on Sparkpeople called FTF, one of the rules is that we had to submit a “before” picture that was taken yesterday for our starting point. Yesterday was day 1 and it ends in August, the group is awesome! Anyways here is my starting picture!! Don’t mind the ugly capris, well supposed to be capris, I’m 5’1 and they are not capris on me haha…can’t wait to see the picture change!

Thats what I love about Sunday

I love, love, love Sundays! They are always so laid back and relaxing. I went to bed upset that the Cleveland Cavs lost last night! So, so sad! I’m a true Cleveland fan, I didn’t just jump on the bandwagon like alot of people because of LeBron, though I really do love him too! To prove I’m a true Cleveland fan let me tell you my favorite team after OSU is the Cleveland Browns…enough said!! Anyways I woke up in a great mood, I must have slept really well. I also woke up starving and ready to try something a little different than usual. I reall wanted to make an omelet with black beans but was out, so I settled for kidney beans and it was still delish. It consisted of 1 whole egg and 2 egg whites, 1/2 slice of 2 % cheddar, 1 tsp red cracked pepper hummus, 1/2 cup spinach, and then topped with 1 tbsp Newman’s Own Pineapple Salsa, and 1 tbsp of plain yogurt. Yum, Yum, Yum!! And….it was only 254 calories, 8 g of fat and 27 g of protien!! I never seem to get enough protien so it was awesome for me!!!

Delish!

Well, now I’m off to do some Tae Bo, I wasn’t even going to blog till tonight, but I was puttin off this work out just a little longer!
